Is there any scholarship? How do I apply for scholarship?

A limited number of scholarships are available. If you would like to be considered for one, please attach a letter with your Registration Form explaining your background, why you wish to participate in the conference and why you cannot pay the Registration Fee. Also include the following information in your letter: your organizational affiliation (if any), your budget for attending the conference (travel + registration), the amount that you can contribute towards your budget, the amount your organization (if any) can contribute towards your budget. Please describe (in 150 words) how you can contribute towards the conference. All scholarship applications must be received by April 30th.

What about housing?

A limited number of community housing spaces will be available on first-come
first-served basis. If you would like to be hosted by a member of the
community or can host an out of town conference attendee, then please email
us at DesiQ-TravelandHousing@trikone .org

Please be sure to let us know if you have any specific housing needs. We
will do the best we can to help accommodate as many people as possible.

What does registration include?

Your registration includes entry to all panel discussions, workshops,
official DesiQ socials/parties as well as the DesiQ2006 Gala Banquet and
Dance. You can register by downloading the registration form at

Where is the schedule of events?

The detailed schedule will be posted as we get closer to the conference...
please check back on this website for details. In the meantime, here is an
overview:

Wed. June 21st
Check in, socials, and arts and entertainment for the conference begins!
Thu. June 22 and Fri. June 23rd
Most of the plenary sessions, discussions, and workshops will take place these two days concluding with the gala on Friday evening June 23rd.
Sat. June 24th
There will be brunch gatherings and then people can either join the Dyke March ( http://www.dykemarch.org/) or proceed to help decorate the float for the Pride Parade.
Sunday June 25th
All are invited to march as a contingent with other LGBTQI people in the San Francisco Pride Parade. Come see what we can do when we come together and celebrate with 500,000 people (http://www.sfpride.org/).
